Rihanna can be listed as one of the biggest pop artists of today due to her twelve #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, record breaking moments, being the most liked female artist on Facebook, and much more.

However, there’s one thing that critics, fans and non-fans who respect her say that she needs, and it looks like she just may get it.

According to Hits Daily Double, the “Phresh Out the Runway” singer’s latest album, Unapologetic, may finally be set to debut at #1 with sales between 240-260k in her first week.

This will also serve as her largest first-week of her career, topping 2010’s Loud, which opened with 207k copies in November of 2010.

In other Rihanna news, it has been announced that the album’s lead single,Diamonds,” has finally made its way to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, giving the singer her 12th #1 hit on the chart.

The song was produced by Stargate and Benny Blanco and written by Sia Furler, Benjamin Levin, Mikkel S. Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen.

Rihanna surpasses Whitney Houston and Janet Jackson, who managed to earn 11 #1’s and 10, and respectively and ties with Madonna.
