Listen: Cher Returns With Female Empowering “Woman’s World” From New Album
Stop the fucking presses!!!!! My level of life has just went from 20 to 1 million. Empress Cher is back with a new single entitled “Woman’s World,” which serves as the official lead single from her upcoming 26th studio album, which is set to be released in January of 2013.
Written by Matt Morris, Paul Oakenfold and Anthony Crawford, and produced by Oakenfold, the song serves as a female empowerment anthem where Cher speaks about rising above different obstacles and being in control.
The song reminds me of “Strong Enough,” which was released as the official second single from her 1998 comeback album “Believe,” and can serve as a part II if you may.
“torn up, busted, taken apart…
I’ve been broken down, back with a broken heart…
But I’m stronger, strong enough to rise above…
This is a woman’s world, this is a woman’s world!”
Fitting in well with the dance/pop recordings of today, the song very well delivers. Cher‘s vocals are absolutely amazing, and she’s clearly back to show why her career has spanned over five decades, and it looks like she’s going for a sixth!
Words cannot describe how excited I am for this album. I really haven’t been this excited for an album since the announcement of Ke$ha‘s Warrior back in September.
What I love is that my grandmother and I both equally share the same amount of love for Cher. We sit, talk, and sing along to her music all of the time. I’m sure she’s going to be just as excited as I am! Take a listen to the song, which now has unknown release date, below!
