Big Boi Unveils ‘Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors’ Album Art & New Release Date
This may come as a shock to some of you, but I am not only an Outkast fan, but fan of them separately as solo artists as well. Which is why I’m excited for the over-delayed release of Big Boi‘s second solo studio album Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, which is now set to be released on December 11th.
Originally set to drop on the 13th of this month, the follow-up to 2010’s Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, the album will serve as the rapper’s official second full-length studio album since Outkast‘s Idlewild soundtrack, which was released in 2006 and went on to sell over one million copies to date.
To help fans gear up for the album, the rapper has unveiled the official cover-art for the record, and I love it. I’m a sucker for abstract, colorful artwork, so the only way that I would have disliked this cover is if it had pink in it.
The album is currently preceded by the official first single entitled “Mama Told Me,” which features guest vocals from Kelly Rowland. Serving as an electro-pop/pop-rap record, the song manages to have an ’80s vibe and reminds me of Klymaxx‘s “Meeting in the Ladies Room.” Take a look at the lyric video below!
