In collaboration with Marc Jacobs Bookmarc, Pharrell Williams will hold a book signing for his forthcoming debut memoir, Places and Spaces I’ve Been, on October 27th in Los Angeles.
The creative genius, whose specialties cross between art, design, pop culture, and street savvy, uses Places to expose us to his world travels. The book also explores his musical career in depth — from his production team The Neptunes, his band N.E.R.D., and his collaborations with friends Kanye West, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, and more.
The 248-page memoir documents the trailblazer’s prolific body of work and his contribution to contemporary culture. He details his extensive creative pursuits, including clothing lines, jewelry, and accessories designs for Louis Vuitton, furniture and product design, limited-edition toys, graphic designs, skate graphics, and collaborations with Moncler, Marc Jacobs, the artist KAWS, and with architects Zaha Hadid and Masamichi Katayama/Wonderwall.
Places includes contributions by Jay-Z, Ambra Medda — co-founder and director of Design Miami, Nigo – Japanese DJ and developer of the clothing line A Bathing Ape, and Takashi Murakami — NYC and Tokyo-based artist.
