After being in the industry for 10 years, releasing five studio albums, and selling over over 23 million and singles sales of over 36 million worldwide, Kelly Clarkson is prepping the release of her first greatest hits compilation entitled Greatest Hits – Chapter 1.
Set to be released on November 19, 2012 through RCA Records, the album can be expected to feature her debut single “Miss Independent,” as well as other hit singles like “Since U Been Gone,” “Breakaway,” and most recently “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger).”
The album will alos feature a new song entitled “Catch My Breath,” which will serve as the album’s lead single. Co-written by Jason Halbert and Eric Olson, the song will hit digital retailers on October 16th. Take a look at what she had to say about the single below:
“This song represents who I’ve been, what I’ve felt, and where I’m headed as not only an artist but as a 30 year old that is now smart enough to know that it’s time to stop, catch my breath, and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today.”
Though not an official studio album, the album serves as the followup from her fifth album, Stronger, which was released on October 24, 2011. It went on to sell a total of 831,000 copies in the United States as of June 12, and has spawned three singles — “Mr. Know It All,” “Dark Side,” and “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger),” the latter which reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
