Sean Paul‘s Tomahawk Technique North American Tour kicks off this Fall in support of his new album, which has finally released in the U.S. after a massive drop in Europe and the Caribbean months ago.
The dancehall superstar recently sat down with Forbes to discuss his unorthodox promotion strategy, his musical influences and the state of the genre he personifies.
“I took a different approach on this album in every way,” said Paul. “I worked with a lot of pop producers and challenged them to make their interpretation of a dancehall beat while also collaborating with some artistes I’ve always admired but never had the chance to work with. The reaction to the album so far has been incredible but I am excited for it to come out in the States and to be able to support it with a great tour.”
Singles from the album include “She Doesn’t Mind,” “How Deep Is Your Love” featuring Kelly Rowland, and “Got 2 Luv U” featuring Alexis Jordan.
