It looks like things are starting to shape up for the G.O.O.D. Music camp. The official tracklisting for their debut compilation album Cruel Summer (iTunes / Amazon), which is set to be officially released on September 18th, has finally made its way online.
The album has experienced a countless number of setbacks, but it now seems like things are moving smoothly.
Standing at a total of 12 tracks, the album features appearances from G.O.O.D. Music members Kanye West, Big Sean, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, Common, John Legend, CyHi Da Prynce, and Kid Cudi.
G.O.O.D. Music friends like Jay-Z, Ma$e, R. Kelly, Marsha Ambrosius, The-Dream, and Jadakiss all make appearances as guests on the record.
The album is currently preceded by “Mercy,” which has managed to reach #1 on the Hot Hip-hop songs chart and #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Another song, entitled “New God Flow,” was released a few weeks ago, and serves as the album’s official second single.
Though I am excited that the album looks like it will be officially coming out on September 18th, I must admit that I am just a tad bit disappointed. With all of the pushbacks, I was hoping that the album would have at least 15 tracks with a 18-20 track deluxe edition. Take a look at the tracklisting below.
