During a Youtube webcast with fans on Monday night, Taylor Swift announced that she is prepping the release of her fourth studio album entitled Red, which will be released on October 22nd. Set to include a total of 16 tracks, the album is said to be full of various emotions. Take a look at what she had to say below:
“I have some really big news. I have a new album coming out October 22, the album title is called Red and we’ve already done so much work for this. I wanted to show you the album cover, too.”
“I wrote a song called Red and thinking about what that means to me and all the different emotions that are written about on this album, they’re all about the tumultuous, insane, intense, semi-toxic relationships I’ve experienced in the past two years.”
The album is currently preceded by i’s lead single entitled “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” an empowering breakup song (as if we didn’t already know that) that leans more toward the pop side instead of country.
I am sooooooooooooooo excited for this! Last week I was in a conversation with a few friends speaking about Taylor and I expressed how much I would appreciate a new album from her this year. I’m glad that Taylor heard my thoughts and decided to release a new album in my honor (let me dream). Take a listen to the new song below!
