“Snapbacks & Tattoos” seems to be getting a new remix in the industry these days called “Pushbacks and Disappointed/Angry Fans.” The latest artists suffering from the demonic (maybe I shouldn’t use that word for this particilar group) setback is G.O.O.D. Music.
The label’s highly-aniticpated debut compilation album entitled Cruel Summer has reportedly pushed back again. Originally set to be released on September 4th, the album has now been pushed two weeks back to September 18th.
According to longtime friend and contributor to Kanye West, the project has been delayed due to four additonal features, one of them being Mos Def.
The album is currently preceded by “Mercy,” which has managed to reach #1 on the Hot Hip-hop songs chart and #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Another song, entitled “New God Flow,” was released a few weeks ago, and serves as the album’s official second single. It will also feature appearances from John Legend, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.
Thoughts?
