When did Teonny join the Sinuous Magazine team?
Mr. Spears joined us on January 29, 2012. He immediately began pummeling us with content, nine articles in 24 hours. It was insane! In four months he’s contributed 214 articles.
Did you know Teonny before he joined the team?
We met through @yoliethejew on BlogTV over a year ago and he was writing for another site then. I started following his posts on that site, often referencing them here. When he reached out about working with us, it was a no-brainer.
Was that unusual for the site?
Completely. With the rest of us working on client projects, getting that many posts out is impossible. Having Teonny dedicated to content curation and creation has totally evolved Sinuous Magazine.
What do you mean “evolved”?
Not just our post frequency or quantity, but the type of content as well. The blog is still a baby but it has drastically changed. Teonny brings his pop culture expertise and it really gives us a whole new feel.
Most important is that readers are enjoying his work and returning to read it. He’s figured out the pulse of the site and has yet to disappoint.
What should we know about Teonny?
On the surface, you’ll see that Teon is Black, gay, opinionated and a pop culture junkie. Beyond that, he’s dedicated to a career in journalism, resourceful, hilarious and reliable.
