Katy Perry performs "Wide Awake" live at the 2012 Billboard Awards
Pop singer Katy Perry was clearly inspired by PINK‘s acrobatics from the 2009 VMA‘s for her “Wide Awake” performance at the 2012 Billboard Awards. We weren’t the only ones to notice the similarities, as PINK‘s hubby Carey Hart took to Twitter to say, “Im pretty sure i saw my wife did that same performance, but she was 3 months pregnant and actually sang the song.”
“Wide Awake” addresses Katy‘s divorce from Russel Brand and serves as her newest single, written for her upcoming documentary/concert-film Katy Perry: Part of Me. Watch her performance below.
