Glee Cast Surpasses Elvis with 200 Charted Billboard Hot 100 Songs

In the course of almost three years, the cast of Glee has has managed to get a total of 200 songs to reach the Billboard Hot 100 chart. They first appeared on the chart on the week of June 9th in 2009 with their cover of Journey‘s “Don’t Stop Believin,” which also serves as their highest charting song on the chart to date. Their version reached #4 on the chart and also out peaked the original version, which only made it to #9.

Glee‘s cover version of Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used to Know” debuts at #26, while the Duran Duran Hungry Like the Wolf and Rio mash-up enters at #98. Despite the cast’s record total of Hot 100 visits, most Glee songs spend a mere one week on the chart. Only 33 of 200 entries have racked more than a single frame on the list, with “Believin’” leading with seven charted weeks total.
