Last week, it was reported that Usher was naming his 7th studio album The Shantertance, and it made a lot of people confused–mainly because no one could really pronounce it or knew what it meant. A few days ago, the R&B/Pop superstar took to his official Twitter page and made the following statement:

“I’m not feeling the name of my new album, ‘The Shanetance’?? Where in the hell did this come from?? LMAO. Don’t believe everything you hear!”

Well now according to Rap-Up, the album is actually entitled Looking for Myself, and is set to be released on RCA Records on June 12th, and just like most albums these days, it will be available in both standard and deluxe editions.

The Diplo-produced “Climax,” which has so far peaked at #40 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as #6 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, serves as the album’s 1st official single. Usher is currently putting the finishing touches on the album with collaborators such as Rico Love, Jim Jonsin, Max Martin, and Labrinth.

I am beyond ready for this. I will admit that I was very disappointed with the Here I Stand album, but Usher made up for it with Raymond v. Raymond. Hopefully Looking for Myself will be worth the wait, and a great follow up.
