For some reason, this week I’ve playing the life out of Miguel ‘s 2009 album All I Want Is You , wondering when we could anticipate new music from the artist who effortlessly lends his smoothe vocals over electro-rock infused R&B.
Then I randomly see the amazing Yardie tweet what I hoped was a new video from the L.A. based artist. Wish granted!
“Adorn” will appear on the soulful crooner’s upcoming mixtape, Art Dealer Chic: Vol.1 which is set to drop on February 27th. It serves as a teaser for what we can expect from the project, lasting just under 2:30 minutes.
I see you don’t play fair, Miguel … alright then.
The cover artwork for Art Dealer Chic: Vol.1 was created by Miguel himself. “The visual for ‘Adorn’ is the projection of a dream I recently had. I wanted to use simple creative elements in a symbolic way to communicate the intense desire to understand its meaning,” the singer says.
Directed by Miguel and Clark Jackson , the video gives us an up-close view of both the bold brush strokes as well as Miguel ‘s lips which beg, “let my love adorn you…” Not mad about that at all! I choose not to reveal the number of times I’ve replayed “Adorn” so just enjoy the visuals for yourself below.
