DJ OHSO’s Whitney Houston Mega-Mix Tribute | download

Whitney Houston RIP

Whitney Houston‘s recent death is still rocking the world as several generations of fans mourn the loss of the multi-talented singer, actress model and icon.

Her place in music is immeasurable and the role she played in the esteem of young girls of color, covering magazines such as Seventeen, created a level of admiration that is irreplaceable.

Having no idea how I’ll cope with the death of my own parents, my heart goes out to Bobbi Kristina who has hospitalized twice since her mother’s passing.

For those of us who grew up with Whitney, played in mommy’s makeup and “became Whitney” while “Im Your Baby Tonight” blared from the stereo — the loss still hasn’t quite settled in. Many have reacted by running straight to iTunes, making Whitney‘s Greatest Hits the #1 selling album this weekend.

Our friend DJ OHSO used her own talents to put together a massive musical tribute to Whitney‘s 35-year career. The result is a powerful mix that lasts just under one hour. OHSO blends Whitney‘s classics such as “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” (1987, Whitney) and “I’m Every Woman” (1992, The Bodyguard) with other tracks like “Love Will Save The Day” (1987, Whitney) and “Thinking About You” (1985, Whitney Houston).

The mix keeps a steady up-tempo groove until about half-way where Miss OHSO decide to make us all want to cry (just me? Okay whatever). Enjoy the mix below.
