Amazon’s New Kindle TV Advertisement Is Too Sexy!!!!!!!!
And by “too sexy” we mean Amazon has the audacity to use an attractive woman wearing a moderate-length dress to advertise the Kindle Fire in a new commercial, Placing the Things You Love at Your Fingertips.
According to BusinessInsider‘s Jim Edwards, the beauty of Spanish model Karme Boixadera “distracts viewers from the device for all the wrong reasons.”
While the focus should be on the product, those dirty bastards make you look at “four loving closeups of her bare thighs before it gets to the point.” Those dirty motha…
When taking a look at the advert, which you can watch below, we expected to be DISGUSTED with Amazon and were even prepared to launch a petition on Change.org!
Then we watched and somehow missed all of the overt sexuality. These “forced views of thighs” were supposed to be atleast somewhat offensive, however Karme‘s outfit is straight of an Anne Klein or Chico’s catalogue — not Apple Bottom.
This leads us to wonder what would be appropriate for the model to wear in Jim‘s opinion? He cites Amazon‘s 2010 tv spot which featured a woman in a bikini which must have given him a heart attack.
His criticism seems to be completely fueled by the distinguished male commenters on Youtube who say things like “damn he almost give us a panty shot and so legs are the peanut butter kind,brown,smooth,and mighty easy to spread.”
Since when is anyone surprised by reactions that involve complete perversion or racism on Youtube or anywhere else on the internet?
The only problem with Amazon‘s advertisement is that it reinforces bad behavior of carriers who would leave a package sitting outside on astoop in what appears to be New York City.
Even more unbelievable is that no one would hit on the woman as she’s quietly trying to enjoy her new device — “Aye ma, is that an iPad? Oh a Kindle — well damn baby you light my fire.”
That’s an actual line used on me, not an exaggeration unlike Jim Edwards‘ article which is littered with what seem to be personal problems.
Perhaps he would be more comfortable relocating to Iran, where he can safely avoid the having to salivate over tempting size 1 thighs or an uncensored internet.
