Love, love, love Rob Dyrdek! The 37-year-old Ohio native has built quite an empire and is constantly giving back as a professional skateboarder, producer, philanthropist, and reality TV star –- he is my entrepreneurial crush.
I faithfully watched both of his shows Rob & Big and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory to crack up at his crazy antics.
Unfortunately, I’m gonna have to pass on his new MTV series Ridiculousness which is a painfully less funny rip-off of Comedy Central‘s tosh.0.

Sterling, Rob Dyrdek, and Chanel on the set of ‘Ridiculousness,’ shot by AL.LA
Both shows poke fun at internet videos and the only difference (besides being less funny) is that Rob has some co-hosts: Sterling “Steelo” Brim who is hot but does nothing but rewind videos and cute little Chanel “West Coast” who was also on Fantasy Factory and says very… blonde things. Ridiculousness even bites off of tosh.0‘s “Web Redemption” segment in a far less entertaining way, bringing stars of the viral videos onto the show as guests.
Even the stage setup is lame. Rob stands alone on a keyboard printout with a huge screen behind him while his two colleagues sit far apart on a couch and laugh. To his credit, Rob is generally funny, but not funny enough to carry a show on his own.
It seems that he needs a full supporting cast/victims of his jokes and insanity as he has had on previous shows. On the contrary, Daniel Tosh can go solo and rant for 15 minutes with his completely politically-incorrect jokes that I have to try NOT to find funny.
Rob, bring back the Fantasy Factory and MTV, bring back SKINS!
